Lambert & Searle - Success Story
Lambert & Searle has been supplying precision engineering services for forty-six years. Established in 1969, it employs eleven people and has a turnover of £800,000 per annum.
The Company offers a complete sub-contract service from stock materials to finish machined and treated components to the Pharmaceutical, Formula 1 Motor Racing, Oil and Gas and Defence Industries.
They have built long-term customer relations specialising in prototypes, ‘1-offs’, small and medium batch milling and turning. They can supply components complete with heat and surface treatments to any specification required.
Keith, who joined the Company as Manager in 1977, was instrumental in making the change to Tricorn in 2009. (He subsequently purchased the Company in 2010). He said previous owners had actually managed it with a "paper-only" system, using files and ledgers, which was archaic, time-consuming and inefficient.
When deciding to upgrade to something more sophisticated, they had looked at two systems, both of which were demonstrated at their premises in Worthing. Tricorn’s system was faster, more efficient and exactly what was needed for their type of business.
Keith was delighted with the efficiency of the installation and the two-day in-house training by Tricorn personnel, where nothing had been too much trouble for them to ensure his staff thoroughly understood how to use the system. He said the ongoing help and support are also second to none and Tricorn’s excellent Helpline means there is always someone on hand to give a rapid response to any questions or queries.
