Newmax Precision Ltd, founded in 1995, is a sub-contract precision engineering company, using CNC machinery. They operate in Advanced Optics and Avionics, Counter-Terrorism systems, Cabin interiors and integration and other general markets, i.e. Railway locking systems, Forensic Science and X-Ray systems for circuit boards. They also provide a service for kitting and assembly of components, thereby providing a ‘One-Stop-Shop’. From the initial concept and design through to a packaged end solution, Newmax offers a host of engineering services adapted to their Customers’ specific requirements. Based in Iver, Buckinghamshire, they employ 21 people and have a turnover of around £1.5m per annum. Prior to their involvement with Tricorn, Newmax used a laborious manual system based on Excel spreadsheets and Word documents to manage the business. This was time-consuming and inefficient. Selection Process Having been aware of Tricorn when he decided to install a more sophisticated system, Managing Director, Greg Jones found that they had the perfect solution for their industry of sub-contract machinery, where the system and price were exactly what they needed. They began by using the Sales package, gradually adding more of the components, until they had a fully-integrated package, which they now use and totally rely on. Implementing Tricorn Greg said he couldn’t fault Tricorn. Installation of the system, which was over twenty years ago, went well. Tricorn staff were on hand at every stage to offer help and support. Training, which is ongoing, is excellent and they are always available to answer any questions and give advice. Impact on Business Greg commented, "Tricorn has had a tremendous impact on the business. It has provided a method of operating with ISO Accreditation, which is essential and has allowed them to organise the work efficiently and effectively." |
